This group consists of major league ballplayers who appeared on a trading card (99% of which were issued by Topps, but there are also a few exceptions out there) by himself (i.e., no “Rookie Outfielders of 1974” or cards of that nature) and subsequently passed away after reaching the age of age (similar to Tina Turner, who passed away at age 83).
There are currently 21 players who fit this description, and their ranks are bound to rise, as existing players in my collection pass away. There are presently upward of 100 living players in my collection who are are aged 80 or higher, and each of them will end up here, eventually.
